To plan a mixed-use development on an 8,000 sq.m site on the edge of the Duleek Gate area of Drogheda, bordered as follows:

• To the north by the Platin Cement Works and Navan Railway Line.
• To the west by existing enclosed housing estates.
• To the east by the Duleek Road.


The overall development is positioned so that it form a well integrated part of the existing conurbation of Drogheda; being only 10 minutes walk to the centre of the town and 15 minutes walk to the train station.

The combination of uses will generate sufficient activity to warrant a new covered internal public space as a focal point for the leisure, community and commercial retail uses surrounding it. This space is envisaged as an active community stage for the proposed development as well as catering for significant footfall from the existing surrounding residential communities.

The different uses within the development - leisure, retail, créche, medical centre and cafe are positioned around this space in a manner that encourages a multiplicity of use by those who work and interact with the buildings, while allowing each retain independent external access.
